Ideal City (“we”, “us”), operated by Doubletrouble Apps, publishes free, objective livability data for U.S. places, counties, and states. This page explains what data is involved when you visit myideal.city and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We do not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email, or other personal details to use the site.

• Preferences you set (the factor weights and targets you adjust on the interactive map) are stored locally in your own browser (localStorage). They never leave your device and are not sent to us.
• Standard server and delivery logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising, which is how we keep the site free. In connection with this:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

The site is a general-audience information resource and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
